EL PLURAL

El plural en inglés se forma añadiendo una “s” al final de la palabra:

 book/books, boy/boys, girl/girls, pencil/pencils, table/tables, toy/toys… 

Pero en la formación del plural también hay excepciones por lo que vamos a verlas: 

· Si la palabra acaba en “s, x, sh, ch…” el plural se forma añadiendo “es” al final: 

beach/beaches, box/boxes, church/churches, fox/foxes, glass/glasses… 

· Si la palabra termina en “o”, también se le añade “es”: 

tomato/tomatoes, potato/potatoes, hero/heroes… 

· Cuando la palabra acaba en “consonante + y” la “y se transforma en “i” y se le añade “es”: 

baby/babies, butterfly/butterflies… 

· Algunas palabras tienen plurales irregulares, es decir, que cambian la palabra entera, los más comunes son: 

man/men, woman/women, child/children, mouse/mice, foot/feet, tooth/teeth

GENITIVO SAJÓN

El genitivo sajón se utiliza para expresar posesión. Por ejemplo, si quiero decir: el libro de Ana es rojo, como estamos hablando de una posesión (libro de Ana), aquí necesitamos el genitivo sajón.
